Senior Management

Chief Constable: The Chief Constable’s primary responsibility is running the force overall. He/She is responsible for supervising general work standard of everybody but especially other members of Senior Management. He/She are expected to liase with other Chief Constables/Commissioners etc to establish plans of action that may need to be drawn up at any one time. He/She is also in charge of everything to do with funding; Producing Pre-Budget Report and obtaining finances to keep the force working efficiently. He/She publishes the weekly newsletter (with the assistance of other Senior Management) and generally keeps the force in practical running order.

Deputy Chief Constable: The Deputy Chief Constable is expected as the name may suggest to depute for the Chief Constable in any duties he/she may require him to do. He/She is responsible for supervising CID work through devising operational plans for that department and making sure their work is of the highest quality. He/She is in charge of operational matters on a daily level (Incidents that require attention & 999 call supervision) He/She are expected to attend the scene of a serious incident as they run operations. He/She may have to write a paragraph for the weekly newsletter regarding an issue they feel strongly about or wish other members of WMP to know about.

Assistant Chief Constable: The Assistant Chief Constable is, as the name may suggest, to assist the officers senior to him/her. He/She is responsible for supervising Uniform work through devising operational policies and plans as well as making sure their work is of a good quality and they are fit to serve the public. He/She is in charge of help desk operational matters, the opposite from the DCC, and makes sure that the help given to the public is of the highest possible standard. He/She is asked to run the forum and asked to contribute to the weekly newsletter.

Deputy Assistant Chief Constable: The Deputy Assistant Chief Constable assists everybody senior to him/her. He/She is responsible for departmental administration management (paperwork supervising; CRIMINT use etc) He/She are responsible for media liasing and may be asked to prepared press statements as well as keep the “Appeals for Help” section of the forum updated. He/She are may also be asked to contribute to the weekly newsletter.

Commander: Commander is a very important rank. This is where operational efficiency begins. He/She is responsible for beat supervision. For Example, patrolling beats but being on the streets to show officers such as PC’s that they are being watched. They are responsible for supervising custody and CAD (when they are online) to make sure a senior officer has been supervising work. They are expected to detail the DCC if a major incident occurs and they are online. They may also be asked to contribute to the weekly newsletter.

Chief Superintendent: Chief Superintendent is another important rank. They are expected to keep everyday running order to a excellent standard. They are expected to meet with departmental heads to get their opinions and feelings on issues that may affect their department. They carry out the duties of a normal police officer but are expected to be responsible at all times, supervising the standard of work.

Departmental Management

These ranks are the ones that are responsible for departmental issues. They keep Senior Management posted on what is going on in their department and make sure standards are being maintained to keep WMP at the highest standard possible.

Superintendent: The Superintendent commands the Uniform team. Dealing with operational matters, the Superintendent has a very important role to maintain public safety and standards. They are expected to attend scenes of major incidents and deploy officers to situations that require police attention. They must be able to report to any member of SM, especially the Assistant Chief Constable, on any matters that require attention or he/she requires information on from that department. They are expected to maintain the Sir/Ma’am Policy and keep general standards high through their department.

Detective Superintendent: The DSI commands CID. They investigate major incidents of crime and make sure that every case that enters the department from either an in depended source (an informant) or handed in from any member of the uniform team. He/She is expected to be in charge of recruitment to CID (officers must be from Uniform) and make final recommendations to the SM member responsible for that department (the deputy chief constable). He/She must make sure that the department investigates crime to the best possible standard as well as enforcing general standards such as the Sir/Ma’am Policy.

Chief Inspector: The primary objective of the CI is to assist the superintendent. The duties are very similar apart from the Chief Inspector is to patrol a lot more and deal with normal incidents. A part from the fact that the Superintendent is more senior and therefore more responsible. The Chief Inspector generally assists him/her in all the duties mentioned above.

Detective Chief Inspector: The DCI assists the DSI with all his/her duties and investigates major incidents of crime. They are expected to make sure departmental and force standards are maintained.

Inspector: The Uniform department line manager, this job is imperative to the effective running of the force. They are expected to supervise officers on the relief by maintaining standards and making sure officers are deployed at certain situations as well as assisting the Chief Inspector & Superintendent in their duties. They are to supervise the Sergeants and make sure that standards are kept high.

Detective Inspector: The DI is responsible for CID work. They deal with major incidents of crime and lead minor investigations of crime. They have to keep standards high (like every other officer in the station) and make sure investigations are done properly.

Sergeant: Sergeant’s are expected to carry out duties as they are senior relief members. They are responsible for looking after the PC’s and Probationers making sure standards are high.

Detective Sergeant: Leads minor investigations and assists with major ones. They are to keep an eye on the DC’s and make sure they take the right and appropriate action in an investigation.

Police Constables: Work on the streets and on the help desk to keep the Habbo Public Safe. They are senior probationers, but still learning the skills to make senior officers.

Detective Constables: Assist in minor investigations and major investigations. These are the equivalent to PC’s in CID and are learning how to become senior detectives. They are expected to watch and listen.

Probationers: Recruitment rank. The probationers are the beginners. Supervised by everybody senior to them, they are the most junior but are expected to follow simple policies and be in uniform.

Trainee Detective Constables: The beginner rank in CID. When the DSI appointed new DC’s he/she will make them TDC for a month before either going back to uniform, or becoming a fully pledged DC.
